It’s birthday month up in these parts, but my oldest is not a huge cake fan. So I made these for breakfast and then mini pavlovas with plenty of whipped cream and fresh fruit for later. 

This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite cakes so far. Zucchini + blueberry + lemon buttercream. This cake screams summer flavors.   In this case, it also marks half way through my cake goal. In reality, I’m well beyond 30 cakes- every now and then I forget to photograph or make a repeat, but  not worried- the goal will be met!

Mia is on a mission to find the perfect carrot cake. Out of carrots, we tried a spice cake instead. “Needs carrot texture,” she declared most tactfully.
