Cleaning
Cleaning dust (oh the dust) and putting things in spots (and trim, need trim still) but the major mess is gone! Though the pictures feature Ry, we actually worked on this together. I think he liked having a work buddy and I think it was good for me too.

step two: second wall of lathe and plaster and really old green/pink/gold wall paper. It had such amazing fibers that I kind of want to frame a small bit.

This time of year I think a lot about light, both figuratively and literally. In an effort to let more light into our row house, we decided to make our normal kitchen doorway a seven foot doorway. Here’s the start! And may I just say, lathe and plaster is a pain the ass!

Planting asparagus: grounded and hopeful
It is a promise that we planted in the ground. No, not a promise but the hope of a promise. That we want to be able to return to this ground for decades to come. The act of planting asparagus is for a place where one wants to put roots. It takes multiple years before the crop will be ready to eat. I have never remembered to plant asparagus first, but this time, I finally did.
