No filter sunsets + easy breezes + smooth currents: we find respite in this #unschoolhouse on a hill. Naps in hammocks + along sandy Lake Michigan shores are good medicine.

Virtual Theater Conclusion
While so much of my time this spring went to sickness and recovery, it was often to the backdrop of this theater project: songs, scenes, poems, and dances from 20+ families but none of it could have happened without you: you were the home for this project, you are my home.
other world outings
for months I thought about wearing this blue work suit when I would finally be ready to venture out into the world for something other than a doctor visit // by the time I was ready, the weather was much warmer and the adventure was much more limited than I imagined but I'm still happy with my wardrobe choice #covidrecovery #day120
Dear Body on Mine
Dear Body of Mine,
It’s been 100 days since you have really been in nature. It wasn’t really a hike so much as a careful walk down a hill, to the river, to sit while the family explored. Then a slow trudge past a pond, stopping to catch the breath. Until now you have stayed in the car with the window open, listening to the trees at the edge of woods. Sometimes even this was too big of an outing. Know that there will be more days of rest after this, but today celebrate that you have made it this far. Just be here.
June, Recovery Style
June 2020 covid recovery is funny. We have been an unschooling family for many years but never have we been home this much. We are so privileged to have this time to connect with each other and reach of our selves. There are loud fireworks disrupting sleep, my heart fluctuates, it gets hot, we get frustrated and yet, this time has also allowed for these wonderful moments too. I’m grateful.
