Today I joined my 'cousinship' in celebrating the life of our cousin Joanie. She was a talented artist + musician with one of the most contagious smiles I have ever encountered. After the service, we returned her countless paintings, mosiacs, water colors, sculptures back to their rightful spots. This winter watercolor is one of my favorites. I can't imagine how painstakingly planned she had to be in order to get all the snow (paper) to stay white. Hung in its spot, I noticed the sun was out, allowing this stained glass sunflower to reflect. Light, reflecting. Light, constant. 🕯️
